Canyon Lake & Superstition Mountains, Arizona

We couldn't ask for better weather.
Drove to Apache Junction and Lost Dutchman State Park, for some hiking. Never passed a soul on the trail. Some great solitude and time to just think. This is the Superstition Mountains, named for many legends surrounding them, like the Lost Dutchman Gold Mines supposedly lies somewhere in these mountains! No, we didn't find the gold. Or make it to the top.
After that, we ate a picnic lunch at Canyon Lake. This lake is one of the series of lakes on the Salt River. No one swimming, but a lot of boating, picnicking and fishing going on. This place was actually crowded today.
