We drove up on the eastern side of the park through the city of Cameron to the south rim (north rim is closed this time of year). Cameron is part of the Navajo Indian Reservation and there are dozens of road-side booths set up along the road selling Indian hand-made crafts and jewelery. But when you arrive at the edge of The Grand Canyon, you actually see where it begins with the Colorado River taking its toll on widening the canyon. It is so massive in size and one of the most powerful, inspiring landscapes! We did drive the canyon rim from the east entrance to the Grand Canyon Village at the south entrance, which comes up from Williams, AZ. This was about 35 miles, one way.
Need I say more!
